sys.dm_os_wait_stats

This is a view in the mssqlsystemresource database. Returns information about all the waits (queue of SQLOS tasks) encountered by threads that executed. You can use this aggregated view to diagnose performance issues of blocking and latch contention with SQL Server and also with specific queries and batches.
Contains a row for each wait type(accumulated) and replaces DBCC SQLPerf(waitstats) as DBCC SQLPERF (‘sys.dm_os_wait_stats’, CLEAR)
